Bart's boy

Fed up at the constant overseas attempts to plunder his beloved Melbourne Cup, Australian maestro Bart Cummings has hit back with a last-minute supplementary entry to the Brahma Beer Cat Grand National.

His intended runner Roscoe (pictured) has just touched down at Heathrow where he was made to pay significant excess baggage charges and is, frankly, looking a little short on work.

But who are we to argue with the Cups King? Aiming to go one better than the last Australian challenger, the bold Crisp in 1973, big boy Roscoe will be running in the legendary white and pink Empire colours on Saturday and will be led up by famed cat lover Mr David Doomah.
